Green Eyes:

Good eye shadow colours:  Turquoise, chartreuse, forest green, vibrant light green.

Colours to avoid: Blue shades, some shades of pink, silvers(they work best with BLUE eyes).

Tips: Concentrate on warm shades and avoid the cool ones
Try various browns, particularly the chocolate tones. Dark greens and browns with gold or copper highlights.  Taupes and apricots will be good options for highlighters. To get a gorgeous evening look, the golds and coppers will be great.

Blue Eyes:

Good colours for blue eyes: gray, taupe, camel, browns, charcoal, blacks, pink, fuschia, copper, lilac, violet, silver, and gold.

Colours to avoid: Stay away from blues.

Tips: The mascara for blue eyes should be limited to the basic black. If you feel the need to be a little bolder and experiment, then go in for dark blue mascara. For blue eyes, make up is primarily dependent on the eye shadow and eyeliner. These two together create the maximum effect. The mascara complements blue eyes better when you are opting for a nude look with some shimmer or glitter on the eyes.

Brown Eyes:

Good colours for brown eyes: Deep shades of blue and brown, blue gray, plum, gold, vanilla, shades of purple and violet, nutmeg.
Different tones of metalic - metalic in gold, bronze, browns and pinks help brown eyes stand out in the most attractive way.
Shades lighter than your eyes give your eyes natural look while darker shades will bring your eyes dramatic look.

Colours to avoid:Avoid all black as it tends to be too strong. Deep browns, plums and charcoals are a good alternative to black.

Hazel Eyes:

Makeup colors for hazel eyes are a mish-mosh of all the makeup colours for brown, green, and blue eyes. The color choices you have available to you are vast. Just about any color goes for your hazel eyes.

A good way to decide on makeup colors for hazel eyes, is to use the colors you already have. If you look at the iris of your eyes, you will see specs of other colors within it. These colors help accentuate your eyes and blend well with your complexion and skin tone.

  1. Makeup for hazel eyes should start with a base coat of a neutral or matte eyeshadow color over the entire eyelid.
  2. Contouring involves applying a darker shade of eyeshadow to the crease ofthe eye. The crease is located below the brow line but above the lid, in the crease of the eye. A darker, contrasting shade is used and blended into the base color that provides depth to eye color and adds mystery.
  3. A light, shimmery color is used on the brow bone to highlight your eyes. A white or champagne is a good choice. Use highlighters on the inner eye open up your eyes and create brightness.
When you choose make up for hazel eyes, you should try to fit your makeup to match your present eye color. The colors you’d choose for blue eyes, will vary from the colors you’d choose when your eyes are brown.

When you apply eye makeup, you should consider one simple rule - light colors bring out, highlight and make larger while dark colors contour and minimize
